I’m a Boomer; approaching 60. I was born and raised in the Southwest.
My father was a preacher. In addition to his full-
I married right out of high school and began having children immediately. We took out loans and both worked so that I could attend college. It took 10 years to pay off the loans.
With hard work, I became a VP of one of the world’s largest corporations. I “retired” at 50. In the 90’s I ran for U.S. Congress, losing in the general election.
Since that time, I’ve become a successful small businessman and investor.
We have three adult children, and 5 grandchildren.
I’m active in church work, and dedicated to sharing the good news about forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ.
My wife and I learned Spanish as adults and are active in mission work in Central America.
By any measure, we are wealthy. We give a significant portion of our income to church and other charities. When I propose that the rich should pay more and receive less, I’m not trying to shift the burden to someone else. I’m on the paying end of that proposition.
I used to teach those who worked for me that “If there is no margin, there’ll be no mission.” Which simply meant that we had to make money in order to go forward with our plans.
The same is true for our economy. We have to keep as much capital in your hands as possible, or you won’t be able to go forward with your plans.
Are you ready and willing to make sacrifices for your country? I believe most of us are.
But I hope too, that you’re ready to put God back in His place as the sovereign of our nation. His rules must be respected. In doing so, He will bless our nation and resolve all our other problems.

Together we’ll make sure that our future generations will be able to proudly proclaim that they are …”One nation…under God…” And that they still have both the opportunity and the means for their own “pursuit of happiness”.
